She was admitted for the delivery of one child but came home with a child born with two heads-the second such case in Brazil this year. Maria de Nazare, who named his sons Jesus and Emanuel was shocked to find on the scans that the baby she was expecting actually had two heads and shared the same body.
Doctors then opted for a Caesarean section birth and the healthy baby was born. The babies were born in Anajas, on an island in the northern state of Para. According to the scans, although the baby has two heads, they share most of their organs including their heart. The child so far is in good health and stable and their mother had breastfed ‘both’ of them.
