Tammy Lyn of Tulsa, Oklahoma seems to have taken opportunism to new heights by trying to sell a pair of Missoni rainboots she bought at an original price of $34.99 from Target for $31,000 on eBay.  This delusional mother listed the pair of Venetion gumboots at such an exorbitant price with the hope that the money that she will get from the sale could be used to pay for the college fees of her daughter.  The Missoni for Target range was an instant success in stores with all of them being sold out in minutes and there were huge expectations that they will ultimately end up being sold on eBay-this is exactly what happened in the end with some of the boots being sold at three times higher than their retail value.

Tammy told CNN that she wanted to take advantage of the Missoni craze to make some quick bucks to finance the studies of her youngest child-posting the item on ebay is one thing but expecting that they will actually be sold at such a high price is absolute craziness!

Meanwhile, Margherita Missoni, designer of the boots took to her twitter to promote her own range of boots and cautioning shoppers about ebay by tweeting the following: "You guys! Very silly to buy #missonifortarget on ebay for 3 times the price!! For that money go out and get M Missoni!"
