The bug that was recently proclaimed the noisiest animal in the world is back in the spotlight as the largest insect in the world. Recently, the bug officially known as Micronecta scholtzi was recognized as the noisiest animal relative to its body size and according to scientists can make a din measuring 99.2 decibels which is an equivalent of a full orchestra playing at its loudest.
The bug which was discovered by a park ranger on a tiny island, Little Barrier Island, in New Zealand is a cricket like creature which eats carrots and measures a whopping 71 grams. The park ranger, Mark Moffett laid his hands on the insect after two days of searching and it was up in a tree at the time of the discovery.
Also knows as Bugs Bunny, its wings measures over seven inches and measures 2mm long.
