Carolyn Gibbons who suffers from a rare condition called Arnold Chiari Malformation has been warned that a good laugh could be fatal to her. In fact, given the fact that her brain is too big for her head, if she laughs out loud, or any other sudden movement that can potentially add pressure to her head could prove fatal for her.
Owing to this complication Gibbons aged 23 has suffered from blurry vision and painful migraines. A teacher by profession, she had to quit her job after passing out in the classroom when she laughed at a joke. Doctors said that if the pressure gets too high and reaches her brain onto the top of her spinal column, this can kill her.
Carolyn now has only one wish that her pain is eased and she can laugh again. Meanwhile she has to take 50 pills a day and has to undergo more surgery.
