However, Vanderzalm’s tenure at Wycliffe Well was short-lived as the business eventually fell into the hands of United Petroleum, a fuel company more concerned with sales figures than the paranormal charm of the site. Neglect and a devastating flood in 2022 led to the abandonment of Wycliffe Well, leaving it vulnerable to vandalism and decay.
Today, the dilapidated remains of Wycliffe Well stand as a haunting reminder of its former glory. Justin Harris, who manages a nearby hotel, reflects on the fine line between success and failure in the hospitality industry, emphasizing the challenges faced by businesses in remote locations.
