A Georgia boy, who at the age of 14 went missing and was featured on Netflix’s “Unsolved Mysteries,” has been discovered alive after a baffling seven-year disappearance. The incident unfolded with Abdul Aziz Khan vanishing from his Atlanta residence on November 27, 2017. The boy’s mother, Rabia Khalid, aged 40, faced suspicions of involvement in his sudden absence, particularly when she failed to attend a custody hearing on the same day.

The breakthrough in this long-standing mystery occurred recently in Colorado when authorities responded to a reported burglary at a property in Highlands Ranch. Deputies arrived at the scene following a call from the homeowner who had captured the break-in on his security camera. Upon reaching the premises, they encountered Khalid and her husband, Elliot Blake Bourgeois, both claiming to be associated with the property’s real estate agents. However, law enforcement grew suspicious due to inconsistencies in their account, leading to the discovery of two children in a vehicle parked on the property. One of the children turned out to be Khan.

Sheriff Darren Weekly commended his team for their diligence and attention to detail, emphasizing how their persistence unraveled the truth behind the trespassing incident, ultimately resulting in the safe recovery of the missing child. Both suspects were detained at the Douglas County Jail, with their bonds set at $1 million each.
