A Norwegian man in Byneset, Trondheim Fjord, had a rather unusual wake-up call when a massive container ship unexpectedly appeared on his front lawn. Johan Helberg, oblivious to the spectacle outside, was roused by his neighbor asking about the peculiar sight. Upon investigation, he found a 135-meter-long vessel parked right in front of his house.
The ship, identified as the NCL Salten, had 16 crew members aboard and was en route to Orkanger when it unexpectedly ran aground. The proximity of the ship to Helberg’s home was a narrow miss, with the potential for significant damage had it struck the nearby rocky outcrop.
