Scientists examining mummies in Peru claim to have uncovered new evidence proving their authenticity. Led by Dr. José Zalce, the team explored the skull of a specimen named Antonio, revealing well-preserved tissue and anatomical structures. The discovery of human-like molars and bone structures led Dr. Zalce to conclude that Antonio is a genuine corpse, approximately 1,500 years old.
The mummy, described as having an elongated head, three fingers, and small eyes, stood around 5.5 to 5.7 feet tall. Despite these unique features, the team found no artificial materials or modifications in Antonio’s tissues and bones. His teeth, showing signs of wear and discoloration, numbered between 28 and 32, with some displaying amalgam fillings, a material containing mercury, silver, copper, and tin.
Prior analysis by Dr. David Ruiz Vela revealed human-like organs and a visible brain structure in Antonio. Vela also identified a stab wound in the mummy’s chest, causing broken ribs and perforated organs. This discovery, along with the unique characteristics of the mummy, has sparked debate within the scientific community regarding the authenticity of these specimens.
While forensic archaeologist Flavio Estrada dismisses the mummies as assembled bones of animals with synthetic glues, former Colorado prosecutor Joshua McDowell disagrees, stating that the bodies studied by Estrada were not related to their findings. Journalist Jois Mantilla, dedicated to proving the mummies’ authenticity, promises further revelations in 2025, including details about the secret recovery location kept hidden to prevent looting.
The saga began in 2017 when journalist Jaime Maussan and a team of paranormal researchers claimed to have discovered the peculiar three-fingered mummified humanoids. The ongoing mystery surrounding these “alien” mummies continues to intrigue and divide opinions within the scientific community, with more revelations anticipated in the future.
